Sitter Spotlight: Megan Alberse  Megan Alberse has been a wonderful asset to BabysitEase. Megan has been babysitting since she was 14, served as a nanny for a family for a year, and also worked at the Sandbridge Community Day School. She has cared for children with dwarfism and Asperger's Syndrome. She absolutely loves children, and it shows. The families that Megan has cared for have given BabysitEase glowing testimonials.    Megan graduated from Tidewater Community College with an associate's degree and currently attends Old Dominion University. She has lived in Virginia Beach all of her life. "I love the beach, the outdoors and animals," Megan says. She hopes to one day be a veterinarian. BabysitEase is happy to have her as part of the family.

Sitter Spotlight: Diane Kaidel

Meet Diane

Diane Kaidel has quickly become one of our most requested sitters, and it's easy to see why families love her. One BabysitEase family wrote to us after her sit telling us, "Diane did a great job, she's very sweet and patient. We'd love to have her back."

Diane is a stay-at-home mom to an active 10-year-old daughter. She spends time volunteering at her daughter's school and working as a Girl Scouts leader. She has taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school at her local church. Diane is CPR and Standard First Aid trained.

BabysitEase is thrilled to connect families with extraordinary people like Diane.

Meet Michelle Walters

Michelle Walters joined the BabysitEase network of sitters in August and is already a much-loved addition to our team. Michelle graduated from Old Dominion University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in counseling psychology with the University of Maryland.

"The time I spent babysitting throughout my middle school, high school, and undergraduate college years awakened my desire to pursue a career where I would have an opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of children," says Michelle. She worked as a substitute teacher for kindergarten through 6th-grade students for two years in Stuttgart, Germany. "It was during this time that I completed one of the most rewarding assignments I have had, as a personal aid to a special needs student."

Sitter Spotlight: Denise Sancillio

Meet a BabysitEase Standout Sitter

During the last month Denise Sancillio has earned a spot in the hearts of many BabysitEase families. Denise has a bachelor's degree from ODU, a medical assisting certificate and has worked with many special needs children. She also worked in physical/occupational therapy, as well as creative arts in the classroom. "Anything having to do with expressing creativity is my passion," Denise says. "I love art, music, and nature."

Denise is very proud to have a son getting a Ph.D. in education and a daughter majoring in pre-med at VCU/MCV. She has a Relay for Life team and is "devoting our passion to end childhood cancer." Denise also works for Judeo-Christian outreach to feed the poor. She is a valuable asset to the BabysitEase team and proves that we have the highest standards for our sitters.

Sitter Spotlight: Tiffany Verdell

Tiffany Gets Great Reviews

For the past few months, BabysitEase sitter Tiffany Verdell has been requested nearly every weekend. She has been available for our BabysitEase families, as well as for last minute sits, all the while receiving wonderful reviews from parents.

 

Before coming to BabysitEase, Tiffany was a substitute teacher in Maine as well as a nanny for a family with a nine-month-old child. She was a social worker, working with children with behavioral and mental disabilities. Tiffany has a bachelor's degree in sociology and is currently attending Regent University as well as volunteering at the Norfolk Detention Center.

 

"I have had a lot of experience teaching and nurturing children whether it was with my siblings or my clients," says Tiffany. "My personal interests include reading and music. I love all types of music but especially traditional Spanish music and classical. I am very involved in reading to children and making learning fun. I love doing arts and crafts and taking long walks. I also love to cook."

 

Thank you, Tiffany, for all the love and care you provide our parents and their children. We are so proud to have sitters like Tiffany available to our families.
