Summer Nights at Town Center Concert Series presents Why Not Wednesdays? every Wednesday from now through September 8. Enjoy free concerts on the Sandler Center Outdoor Plaza. Cold drinks and summer treats will be for purchase, and fresh produce from The Virginia Beach Farmer's Market will also be available.

"Sandstock," a Beach-inspired variation on "Woodstock," pays homage to the music of the 60's, 70's and 80's. National and local tribute artists who cover performers like Led Zeppelin and Sly, to the Family Stone and Sha-Na-Na, crank out hit after hit on multiple stages at the Virginia Beach oceanfront from June 25 to 27. Even "The King" himself gets in on the act with special shows at 17th Street Park.

The

2010 Annunciation Norfolk Greek Festival, an annual event held under one of Hampton Roads' biggest tents on the grounds of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk, begins Thursday, May 13 and runs through Sunday, May 16.

Tidewater's oldest and largest ethnic festival, will include traditional Greek cuisine, exciting entertainment, arts and crafts, beautiful jewelry, a cooking school and the very popular drive-thru.

Admission and parking are free and open to the public.

 

The Chesapeake Jubilee will celebrate its 28th anniversary from May 20 to 23, 2010 at Chesapeake's City Park on Greenbrier Parkway. The event features world-famous musical artists, the largest 4-H show and sale in Virginia, Zambelli Fireworks, rides, games, attractions, arts and crafts, Kiwanis Club Shrimp Feast and a Virginia State Championship Kansas City Barbecue Society Cook-Off. Admission is $2, with children 5 and younger admitted free, and onsite parking is available for $5.

The Williamsburg Wine and Food Festival, Saturday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be held at the Colonial Heritage Clubhouse, 6500 Arthur Hills Drive in Williamsburg. The event showcases some of the finest wineries and restaurants in Virginia, and will provide guests with a wonderful opportunity to taste exquisite wines and gourmet cuisine.
