And Peggy Becomes a Triathlete
On July 18, our fearless leader, Peggy Murriner, finished the Fit to Fight Ovarian Cancer Triathlon at Corwin Nixon Park in Mason. Peggy exhibited great strength in all three events, finishing the 400-meter swim in 8:05, the 20-kilometer bike ride in 1:02:37 and the 5-kilometer run in 35:29, for a grand total of 1 hour, 49 minutes and 8 seconds. Peggy finished 132nd of all the women who participated that day. Congratulations Peggy!
Fit to Fight Ovarian Cancer was initiated by one woman who lost two young friends to ovarian cancer, a disease that is not widely discussed. Help BabysitEase raise awareness of this disease by joining her next year in the fight against ovarian cancer.
